Recently I have been OBSESSED with wellness, eating clean and exercising. I started a new nutrition plan, took my measurements often and weighed myself nearly every day. While this may all seem great, when being healthy crosses the line between a lifestyle to an obsession, we have a huge problem on our hands. A few months ago, I decided to take on a new, wholesome approach which focused more on wellness and being happy rather than being thin.
Just a quick reminder for anyone who needs to hear it…
Being thin DOES NOT EQUAL being Happy
Leading a healthy lifestyle can lead to a happier life, however.

When I began to focus on being a happy and healthy person rather than a thin person, things started to click. I started to lose unwanted weight and gain lean muscle. I ate clean and enjoyed learning how to cook new foods.
One of the main reasons I was able to make this shift in my life is due to the RENPHO smart scale. This scale tells you much more than your weight and gives you a better understanding of your fitness. Instead of just seeing a higher number on your scale, you will see the details of your results.
So, what is it?
This scale connects using Bluetooth to your phone (Apple or Samsung). Once you download the RENPHO app and step onto the scale you will be told your...
Weight
BMI
Body Fat Percentage
Fat-Free Body Weight
Subcutaneous Fat Percentage
Visceral Fat
Body Water Percentage
Skeletal Muscle Percentage
Muscle Mass
Bone Mass
Protein Percentage
BMR
Metabolic Age
When you get your results, the app will show you whether you are in a healthy range or what elements you need to work on in your wellness journey. I found this part particularly helpful because I did not realize that I was actually in a pretty okay spot with my fitness. I expected my fat percentage to be way higher and my muscle to be lower. I fell in love with this scale with the peace of mind it gave me with the detailed information it could provide.
I recommend using the scale once a week on the same day, first thing in the morning. Day to day your weight fluctuates, a week will be a more accurate view of your fitness results. Each week your scale results will be recorded and you can compare your numbers and see your progress!
So who should buy this scale?
+ Those interested in their wellness
+ Athletes trying to understand their body composition
+ Individuals trying to shed weight and be able to see their results
+ Someone who may need a little bit of bad news to push them to see those results improve
Another feature of this scale is that multiple people can be hooked up to it. I have myself and one other person in my house using the scale. You do need to make sure that you are closed out of the app before someone else tries to use the scale, if not, their results may show up on your app instead.
Like most scales, this one requires you to place the device on hardwood floors. You also need to stand perfectly on the scale in your bare feet. If you do not follow these rules, your results might not be accurate.
So far, I have not found any other downsides to the scale. It is lightweight but sturdy and easy to move if needed. I have had no problems connecting my phone or my family member that uses it. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this product.
Now, let's talk price.
At this moment this scale cost $25 from Amazon. (Woah! What a steal for such a great product!) When I bought the scale it was only $20. The price fluctuates often so if you want to save a few bucks, check back often and see if the price drops!
The app is free to download and use, so you only need to pay for the scale itself. Again… What a steal!
I rarely spend money on household items like this that I already own. This scale, however, was well worth the money. It has taken away my stress about my weight and I have gained knowledge about wellness in general as well as my wellness.
